3 hours out of Tokyo is a quiet, mountainous region, Okutama. We scouted this location on bicycles to begin. It was the best day of the trip. 

We forgot everything else existed. All that mattered was the mountain water you could drink from the valley and the vivid green trees. It’s also a place where families frequent during the summer for a night under the stars. 

During the shoot we had to continuously stop our van and take in the surroundings. We had never seen anything like Okutama.
